In this Blog you will find a list of the 5 best locations for any type of photoshoot in LA.

Got a special event coming up? All special events call for a special photoshoot to capture your moments perfectly, and it’s not just about capturing the day of your event but about the pictures before all the stress and anxieties that come with living out the day that you’ve been planning for months, maybe even years.

Picking a location for your photos isn’t always as easy as you may think. What some people don’t realize is that the location actually affects not only the quality of the pictures, but the quality of your mood as well. You have to consider that these photos may be very useful for your invitations, venue entrance photo, and of course as a beloved memory you’ll be able to show your kids and grandkids one day. With that being said, there’s no doubt that picking a location suitable for your event and preferences is fundamental to the quality of the photos. If all this pressure on just picking a location for pictures is making your head hurt, not to worry!

1. Averill Park

This tropical looking park is located in the city of San Pedro. At first glance, this may just look like an average park, but trust me when I say that you can get some beautiful pictures here with your extravagant dress to pop out amidst the green, natural background. It is also conveniently located near the beach of San Pedro where you can quickly go to as a second location to have some variety in your pictures. I recommend coming here during the week since it does tend to get crowded on the weekends.

2. San Juan Capistrano

If you’re into colonial style pictures, this is the right place for you. Here, you’ll find a restaurant inside a train wagon and colorful buildings. The colorful scenery makes for a great background to compliment an elegant, white wedding dress. There is also a beautiful mission where, if money isn’t an issue, would be a great place to take some candid shots. You would have to pay per hour and get a permit but I believe the extra work is worth the amazing results.

3. Downtown Los Angeles

The hustle and fast paced vibes that Downtown LA gives is perfect for some catalog-style fashion photos. You’ll find an infinite hallway of skyscrapers and bright buildings, details that are unique to urban city areas. One of this beautiful buildings is Disney Concert Hall.

4. El Matador Beach.

Senior year can be stressful, so treat yourself with a relaxing stroll on the beach for making it this far! This beach is pretty popular amongst photographers because of its unique boulders along the shore and beautiful, California sunsets that reflect on the salty waters just right every time. This is truly a great place to take pictures in your cap and gown, a graduation outfit, or to just relax after years of hard work.

5. Vasquez Rocks.

If you’re looking for a more desert scene for your photos, Vasquez Rocks is the location for you. This place has some impressive boulders that you can get on top of and capture yourself touching the big blue sky. This location is especially great for more dramatic or couture- style photos to get your wedding or fashion dress flowing in the desert winds.
